I would feel much better if we had another closer. This is where Smoltz would be valuable. I would have Franklin begin the season like closer except have Smoltz as a back up. Hopefully Motte has been working on his slider and perhaps a curve. Major union hitters feast on straight fastballs. I think Capps would be a good addition to the pen not sure about being the closer tho. [8 total replies]
